Im trying to work through the Business Intelligence - Implementation
and Maintanance Microsoft Training Kit anyway I'm having a little
problem in that when I access localhost/reports i am getting an the
website cannot be displayed message.
I've set up a photobucket account to show screen shots of my set up as
will likely be better than me trying to describe the problem

Any ideas on how to solve my problem would be appreciated, I will
upload any other screenshots if needed

Check the asp.net settings in the Reports virtual directory properties, ensure that .net 2 is being used. I hit a problem similar to this recently that required me to reinstall .net and then reapply the defaults to that virtual directory. I think the problem may lie in the order in which IIS, .net and SSRS are installed.

I don't remember if my .net version dropdown was blank or 2.0.50727 when I experienced my problem - I suspect I saw it both ways.
Try repairing .net (add/remove programs, scroll to .net framework 2.0, click for support information, press the repair button). Then restart IIS, go to SSRS configuration manager virtual directory settings, check "apply default settings", and hit apply.
If that still doesn't help, try browsing the site directly from the IIS console to see if it makes any difference.

Not sure what happened but its totally broken now. I'm going to reinstall sql server and dot net and try the whole thing again from scratch.

Glad you got it working .... I don't think it had much to do with me though 🙂
