Trying to edit the display name when sending an email

    Hello All,

    I have created a database profile and finished setting up the database mail.Right now my display name is AMC SQL ALERTS and I am trying to change this to AMC SQL ALERTS_WHD_BACKUP...I have tried changed this in display name..But I am still getting the same AMC SQL ALERTS when email has been sent..Please help..

    I dont believe you can change the display name, you can change the email address its from in 2008 by using the @from_address parameter, but I'm sure it takes display name from the account/profile being used.

    The only other option is to setup a different account/profile and use that to send the alerts
