Truncate Log File

    Hello Everyone

    I need to truncate Log File.

    but right now, someone importing data into table. and he said, it will take upto 6 hours to finish.

    so my question is, is that safe i truncate Log file while Importing data into table?

    What exactly do you mean by 'truncate log'?

    If you mean shrink, it's a waste of time, the log will just grow again. If you mean log backup, perfectly safe.
