Hi
RS 2008. I've created a parameter and in the properties I've stated that it is a integer. I've created default values, being 0 and 1.
The data in the table is a tinyint.
So when I run my report and select a value, being 0 then get the error 'Error converting varchar into tinyint.
I never stated anywhere that it is a varchar.....
I've tried add the value as "0" and "1" and then RS stated No text possible into integer. So he f... knows it's integer....
Why ?
It will be probably very simple but if anyone knows....
Much obliged in advance

Just added a quick int filter to a report. Are you using quotes in your Parameter, available values settings? Mine worked first time?

No I did not use quotes. I can't even enter quotes because he won't accept it with the message "You can't user quotes because this is a integer field.'
That's the  about it...

Hi,
You mean to say the section where you need to pass the default value ?
As it is an integer, can you try giving = sign just infront of the default value?
Thanks & Regards,
MC
