Hi,
I am using Transnational replication of Microsoft SQL Server 2008. I always face one problem when distributor database fails eventually. It requires re-initializing subscriptions when I restore distributor database. This takes time once my database size is very big. Can someone tell me how to back up and restore subscription and distributor database?
Best regards;

Something is lost here. Do you mean the "published user database" or the system database called [Distribution].
What do you mean by database fails? Do your subscribers experience an error?
I think you mean you are restoring the published database and reinitialising the subscribers.
