Transferring db roles between servers

    i am moving a SQL2000 db from one server to a new one. how to i also move the db roles? they don't come across with a backup/restore of the database.

    it is a vendor application, with many tables with many specific permissions on each table. too many to recreate by hand.

    ideas?

    never mind! i'm a dumb@ss who didn't hit refresh in Enterprise Manager. they come with the restore.

    Thanks for the update. Everything in the database moves with the backup, though your users might not be linked back to logins.

    You script the logins , and U can run
