Greetings,
The network team surprised me the other day when they asked if I was backing up the phone system. Instead of the usual response to backup being, "Of course I backup everything.", was "...Um what phone system...". Apparently we have a server on a different domain setup as a DC, running part of our phone system, SQL 2000 and Exchange. I got connected to it and found there hadn't been a backup in about 3 years. I was able to backup to the local disk, but now my dilemma is how to move those backups off to a redundant site? I have a FTP site I can use to transfer, but I can't XCOPY to a FTP site and it's my understanding that the FTP Task in DTS is only for download, not up.
Has anyone worked on a problem like this and care to share?
Thanks,
Tim
