Transfer server roles between instances of SQL 2005

    sp_help_revlogin gets all the logins.

    Roles come across when you move databases over.

    revlogin script moves logins, passwords and server roles but there are other server level permissions like grant alter to login etc which is not done in the revlogin script but are permissions on login level. I am looking for a script for this purpose..

    Roles ...yes sometimes i set this up in test then manually do in production - this surely would be a good script.

    Nice Script. I just found it, ran it, massaged the output a little, and ran it on my target server. Worked like a charm! 😀
