Transactional Replication with TSQL - snapshot agent problem

    Hi

    I am trying to setup transcational replication using tsql script. Its giving me some trouble with snapshot agent.

    I can see the snapshot agent job created in Distribution.dbo.MSSnapshot_Agents. but when i try to start the snapshot agent job its giving me error message that it cannot find the specified job.

    any idea ??

    I will assume that the SQL Server that you generated the Replication script from is the same server that you are executing the script!

    yes i am running my script on the same machine.

    actually i found the solution for my problem. my script missing the sp_addpublication_snapshot part. I thought sp_addpublication will automatically create the initial snapshot.

    That all depends on how you Scripted the Replication process! Did you script the jobs as well? If you didn't, thats why it failed.
