Transactional replication problem

    Hello,

    we have 2000 server replicationg to 2005 and 2008. it is a transactional replication. i did a refresh for 2000 database and dropped replication before refresh and created replication again after refresh.

    the refresh went well but 2 subscribers are getting an error message Cannot connect to THE SUBSCRIBER and in error details it tells login failed for user SA error 18456.

    I have tried to change the subscriber profile by changing its owner to sysadmin but still it states the same error.

    Please help me out

    Did you by any chance change the password for SA account?

    Hello Kirit,

    The suscribers with problems are 2008 or 2005?, what about the OS version?

    For security you can change the user, and use a domain\account instead of sa, is necessary grant access sysadmin.

    Thanks Roy and Victor,

    I have solved the issue by entering SA password for the subscribers in

    tools-replication-configure publisher, subscriber and distibutor
