Hi All,
Can anybody offer any advice please?
We currently have two SQL instances running on one server, the named instance is used for Transactional Replication so therefore the default instance is replicated to the named instance.
Our IT department are planning on moving the data to a different SAN at the weekend, they are doing this by switching the replicated server to run on the same cluster as the default server and are then stopping the SQL services and doing their IT magic.
Once they have done their stuff they are going to bring SQL back up, start SQL and test fail over etc.
The question is, do they need to do anything specifically with the Transactional Replication setup, i.e. do they need to pause it etc. or will stopping the SQL services be enough for it to pick up where it left off?
Thanks,
Gary

Just moving the data to a different SAN should not impact replication.
Stopping the SQL Server should be enough for it to pick up where it left off.
Remember that replication has a Snapshot folder. Take care of it while moving to new SAN.
