Hi,
Is there any possibility that transaction can be replicated in two different domains.
Publisher and distributor will be in X domain and subscriber will be in Y domain.
Publisher and distributor are created and running fine in X domain.
Subscriber creation in Y domain:
1. Used X domain windows account in subscription but failed and got an error :
Proxy "........" is not a valid window user
2. Used X domain sql account in subscription but failed and got an error :
Process could not read file '.......................' due to OS error 1326
Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password
Appreciate any advice

Yes, it is quite possible to replicate data in cross domain.
You must have trusted relation ship to make it work.

According to my faulty memory, part of the setup process was using local SQL login accounts that had the same name & password on both servers, not Windows accounts.

I guess, after win 2003 concept of trusted domain has been removed and controlled by GPO if under the same network.
