transactional replication and non-default port problem

    Hello everyone
    I need to configure the transactional replication on a different port than the default 1433 When I start the configuration
    I get this message blocking 
    "Replication requires the real no of the server to establish a connection" 
    how can I establish a replcation on a server if I connect through"Servername, port"
    Who has an idea how I can handle this pb ?

    Try creating an alias specifying the port for the server. I can't tell the exact error you are getting or where you are in the process but this blog has the information on how to use this method:

    have you tried just the server name? I think each instance has a browser service running or helper service that routes data to the right port if it's not default.
