transaction replication functionality within mixed SP's

    Hello All,

    Currently, we are on SQL2008R2 EE SP1 CU13 across the board.

    We are planning on upgrading the primary SQL server to SP3.

    Question: Will transactional replication continue to work properly even if the Publisher is upgraded to SP3 but the subscribers remain at SP1 CU13 ?

    Yes it should, although not exactly the same situation we had our publisher running SP3 for a few days while our subscribers ran SP2 as we could not upgrade all at once.

    Replication was unaffected.

    thank you for the feedback. It is appreciated.

    Glad to know no concerns to replication was seen in a mixed SP configuration. Given the number of associated subscribers, it would take us up to an month to get all the production servers updated.
