Trans Log Backup Failed

I'm trying to backup the Trans Log files of a brand new install after I backed up the DB. It keeps failing. Seems like Northwind, MAster, and MSDB are the culprits. All other DB's have the Translogs backed up in the job except those 3. Anything?

What error are you getting? Is pubs getting backed up as well?

Are you using a maintenance plan to back up all transaction logs? If so you might want to backup the transaction log for each database separetely to find out which of the three is giving you a problem.

MSDB defaults to simple mode - have you changed it to a mode that retains the tlogs?
