  after installing 2008R2 the trace flag 3688 ceased to function. My logs are once again filling up with

  sql trace started and sql trace ended. Has anyone come up with a solution for R2?

  Did you upgrade to R2? are you sure the TF is still enabled?

  did a clean install and the trace flag is enabled.
