Toolbars grayed out or missing in BIDS environment

  Hi All,

  1. Whether I'm working on in Layout, Data or Preview (Reporting Services 2005) for any report, the toolbars I select disappear when I click on close after I select them in the Tools, Customize box. I have check marks by: Formatting, Query designer, Layout,Build and Standard among a few others. I tried the reset button but no help as well.

  What am I missing?

  Should the toolbars be visible?

  If so, why are some of the buttons grayed out?

  1. screen shots are not displayed in the forums. you may want to build a web page and then provide a link to the images that way.

  2. 'when I click on close' - which close are you clicking on? Do the toolbars display when you select them, or do they never appear?

  Steve,

  The close button I'm refering to

  is on the customize dialog box. Also, the toolbars, do not appear and do not

  display when I select them.

  I have applied Service Packs and updates for SQL and BIDS to no avail.
