Tool for conversion of DTS package to SSIS

    Hello,

    What tool could be used to make conversion of DTS package to SSIS?

    BIDS (Business intelligence Development Studio) has within it a DTS migration wizard- open up a project and you will see SSIS Packages on the right had side- Right click and select Migrate DTS packages- it will walk you through the process - But unless they are pretty basic DTS you will need to rewrite some of the steps - Transformations/ActiveX steps etc.. BOL has a lot more info on this process as well just do a search for migrate DTS..

    ...and: In order to edit and view the DTS-Files, you need to download the "DTS Designer Components" from Microsoft.
