Nine apathetic, sympathetic, diabetic old men on roller skates with a marked propensity toward procrastination and sloth
Isn't this from "'Twas the night of the King's . . . "? Or am I merging memories?
Ha Ha. A blast from the past at any rate.

That name's not familiar to me... It was introduced to me as part of a memory game about...oogeez...30 years ago. I have NO idea what the original source is/was. The presenter "suckers" the "mark" in, with the first (simple) example phrase to repeat... subsequent phrases get progressively more convoluted. Here, then, is the entire list:
One hen
Two ducks
Three squawking geese
Four Limerick oysters
Five corpulent porpoises
Six pairs of Don Alvarso's tweezers
Seven thousand Macedonians in full battle array
Eight brass monkeys from the ancient sacred crypts of Egypt
Nine apathetic, sympathetic, diabetic old men on roller skates with a marked propensity toward procrastination and sloth
Ten lyrical, spherical, diabolical denizens of the deep, who haul quay around the quo of the quivvy of the quarry, all at the same time

Oh yeah! Now I remember it. It is definitely a different thing from what I referenced. I have no idea where it comes from but I remember us torturing each other with it in college.

I remember something similar to that in college as well. Something about an answer to the question, "are you a turtle?"

That would be a site - an ape climbing through ductwork.

**An ironic phrase appearing in the background in one of the greatest movies ever made, but in the context of a SQL DBA's life, a truism.
