The hard part was choosing between Bifigliano and Profigliano.
No-one else chose either - don't DB people play drinking games in bars any more?

Back in college (which was the bulk of my experience with drinking games), we used Profigliano.
Haven't seen very many people playing drinking games (other than Quarters) these days!

I haven't played any since about 1999 - I think because since then I've mostly worked in Southern England, and they don't seem to be so popular there.
There tend to be two classes of game: ones where the loser of a round has to drink, and one where the winner of a round has to drink; Bifigliano or Profigliano is one where the loser has to drink. I used to prefer the ones where the winner has to drink (because after enough rounds the alcohol handicap makes the bad players as good as the good players).
Graham Greene adapted chess as a drinking game of the "winner drinks" variety in "Our man in Havana"; if I remember rightly, taking a piece or a pawn entailed drinking an minibottle (about 96 ml) of spirit, but it may have been more complicated than that.

----------
At about 9:20 this morning I discovered that the electricity supply was scheduled to be cut of for maintenance/enhancement work from 9:20 to 14:00.
Destroyed my schedule for today. Much more painful for me, it destroyed my wife's schedule for the day.
I guess I should go and look to see if their are any announcements of such things stuck up somewhere more frequently than I do.
