Tigon (my contribution) ofspring between Tiger & Lion.

    Cylon

    (so say we all)

    We as in we Orlons?

We as in Capricans. (Says he, the BSG fan . . . )

    Sorry - Wrong!

Liger - offspring of a mating between Lion & Tiger.

Tigon (my contribution) ofspring between Tiger & Lion.

Not sure which way round word depends on which is the sire, and which the dam.

I do remember the Tigon at Belleview zoo (Manchester UK) in the '50s.

    .. Alan

Liger - Male Lion and Female Tigress

Tiglon - Male Tiger and Female Lioness

The Liger tends to be bigger than the Lion or Tiger, the Tiglon (or Tigon) is about the same size. But either way you put it together... it's still a BIG cat.
