Summer vacation 2007, Phoenix to Houston straight, 22+ hrs without the stops, Wife,3 kids and the In-laws.Summer vacation 2008, Phoenix to Houston straight, 22+ hrs, 3 kids and a dog.
That is NOT a vacation! Now, the question is - which was more difficult, the in-laws or the dog? (I bet I know the answer.)
It's decades since I did that sort of drive, but I have a guess as to the answer: during the first 8 hours the order (least pain first, most pain last) was in-laws, dog, wife, kids; and during the remaining 14+ hours the order was inlaws, dog, kids, wife.
