TLOGS

    So I have inherited a system that is being backed up with ola.hallengren suggested ways, however when I started here there are some of the databases that the TLOGs aren't being backed up, The folder structure is there FULL,DIFF, LOG but it isn't being written there, Where do I change this, there is a newer database that it isn't happening to. Any suggestions?? Thank You in advance.

    Are those databases in SIMPLE recovery mode now?

    You can see backup history information in system tables in msdb. It is very easy to find out if backups are actually being taken and where they are going using them.

    I know the backups are being created, however only the diff and full is being backed up, there are no tlogs for some of the DB, I would like to know where this is configured, others are being backed up, just not on a few of the dbs.

    Yes it is in SIMPLE RECOVERY MODE

    Now that you've found them, you should probably fix them. If something is worth backing up, it's usually worth backing up with the ability to do Point-in-Time restores.
