I agree with a lot of what you state in your article, but would also add the following:
- Decide whether the upgrade will be in-place or side-by-side
- If at all possible, do a test upgrade on a non-production cluster first
- Make use of tools such as the Upgrade Advisor; they can save a lot of legwork.

Hi Alejandro, thanks a lot for sharing this, this is an interesting article. Will you publish a "Part 2" ? I am preparing an important cluster upgrade and I would like to benefit of your experience!
