Time zone problem

  • I set up the time setting on the forum (GMT +2, no DST) as applicable for SA. However, the time displayed for me is off by an hour. The time posted for this post is 16:19, however it's actually 15:19 here.

  • Might be a DST thing, though the switch shouldn't be for a couple weeks.

Once I set the forums to the server time and then set my zone it worked. Maybe they have SA misconfigured?

    Anyone else?

  • Testing GTM-5...

    This works for me.

  • Maybe. I picked GMT-2, not SA specifically. Maybe DST is enabled for all zones by default. Hmmm, checking DST has no effect, neither does unchecking it. Very weird.

Isn't a big deal, I just have to remember that the forums are an hour in the future.

    Time is now 22h59, Saturday

  • That cache takes a few minutes to catch up sometimes, so you might not see a change right away. You might try changing it to whatever zone matches up with your time.

  • Time Zone error for me too. I had to purposely choose a time zone that's 1 hour earlier than my real time zone in order to get the correct time to display.

  • Where are you located?

  • I'm in Connecticut, and should have chosen -5, but I had to choose -4 to get the right display.

  • Thanks, I'll try to figure out what's wrong there. I'm in CO and it seems to work fine here.

  • It's pretty low on my list of worries.
