I have to run a huge query with my Access project connected to a SQL server 2000. The server is installed on a PIV machine, 1.6GHz speed, 512K RAM.
In usual, the report (and its behind huge query) takes something about 30 seconds to be completed. To speed-up it, I used "Boost SQL priority over Windows", in SQL server options.
Although I have set the time-out to 0 (unlimited), but I get the "time-out expired" message from time to time, especially when I run the report from clients, and not the server itself.
What can I do to enable the report to be done without time restrictions?
Thanks,
Mohammed

Does your Access project have a timeout in it? I have queires that run to 3 or more mintues and never see timeouts. Something has to be causing the timeout somewhere other then SQL if you set to 0.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes. But I have set up the Access project time-out to 0 too. This didn't solve the problem.
Any suggestions?
