Hiking amongst the redwoods at Muir Woods on Saturday; haven't decided whether to climb or drive up Mt. Diablo. Hanging ceiling fans and washing the trucks and motorcycles on Sunday. Barbecue on Monday. Remembrance every day.

As an afterthought, I got to cut a lot of grass, about 15 acres over the weekend, but I did put my flag at half mast on Mon morning. The 8 yr old had instructions to raise it at noon and sure enough, as I drove by on the tractor, he was lifting it all the way around 12:05.

15 acres? That IS a lot of grass. I recently saw a visual which really helped me better understand exactly how big an acre is: it was a rectangle overlaid on top of a football field (U.S. football) from the goal line on one end to the 10-yard line of the other end, so 90 yards total, and the full 53-yard width of the field. That is an acre.
So Steve mowed 15 football fields, except for those last 10 yards of each. I hope it wasn't a push-mower!

Nope, my big ol' tractor + my wife on a riding mower. I need to take a picture. Still probably got 4-5 acres left, but it's raining, so my aching back gets a break.
