Steve,
You have a good future in creating wish lists for technically oriented people.

I'd settle for VS Pro with an MSDN subscription (I've talked over just buying this myself with my wife). We're working with VS2008 and Sql Server 2005. While they get the job done, they're starting to show their age.
Of course having SQL Server 2014 would be awesome.

Just my $0.02 from over here in the cheap seats of the peanut gallery - please adjust for inflation and/or your local currency.

VS 2013 Community Edition is free and the equivalent of Pro. No free MSDN, but you can grab SQL Server Developer Edition 2014 for $40 at Amazon.
😀
It's always Christmas. Chris must do this and Chris must do that...

I want a Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle.
You know, both for the pop-culture reference, and so I can fend off people when I need to get work done.
Also better Prod and Dev servers would be nice.

A systems administrator to administer and maintain the Mirth appliances so I can get back to developing. I'm doing more sysadmin stuff and less developing code.

I want JSON support in SQL server, like the way it supports XML.
And a pony.

All I want for xmas is a response from M$ for my suggestion to improve Visual Studio (and then of course for them to do it). I think I had an excellent suggestion for copying. Have an option to just copy the variable names when selecting a region.
