Getting this error when trying to connect to SQL instance through SSMS. I have read that if SQL Server service runs under Local System account, the SPN will be automatically registered. However, if I am using domain account to run SQL Server Service and the domain user has basic user permissions then the computer will not be able to create its own SPN. If this is the case then no one should be able to login right? I have asked other developers and they are able to login to all instances just fine but I can't log into any instance. What could be the reason for this?

Hi,
what kind of version is your SSMS and what kind of version your SSIS.
Both have to use the same version, maybe this could be your issue.
Kind regards,
Andreas

Its fixed.
We don't use our regular account to log onto instances. Instead we use admusername. So what I did was I logged into my laptop using adm account, changed the password, and that's it.
