    what would the fix be for this :

    The operating system returned error 21(The device is not ready.) to SQL Server during a

    write at offset 0x000000a87d0000 in file 'D:\SQL_DATA\tempdb1.ndf'

    what would the fix be for this :

    The operating system returned error 21(The device is not ready.) to SQL Server during a

    write at offset 0x000000a87d0000 in file 'D:\SQL_DATA\tempdb1.ndf'

    Could be several different things but the first to check are disk space, file growth and the storage system logs (SAN / SMART)
