I wonder. Will let you know. I talked to a few owners that were in the high tens (80-90k) and no issues so far. Hadn't noticed issues with less power/charging.
We'll see. At this rate, I'll hit 100k in < 5 years 🙂
Wind has weird issues. in cities, it creates lots of turbulence near buildings, not always practical to power turbines.
However, I wonder if you had them smaller and more pervasive if you could generate lots of micro amounts of power. Be an interesting experiment.

I'm wondering if loss of capacity is less noticeable in a hybrid (unlike a full electric) because the power level is rarely run all the way constantly automatically restored by the engine when it runs low. Perhaps the user would never know in most conditions that the batteries were only 45% of what they were 2 years ago.

Ethanol -- Poor ROI - Yah it is cheap but it is subsidized and takes more fuel to create than it returnsSwitchgrass ethanol and sugar cane ehtanol are far more effective than corn based ethanol.
Well had a chance to run E85 in my Avalanche this past week (Chevy had a promo of 85.9 cents per gallon). My experience was a 25% loss in efficiency so now I know my break even mark. As for the fuel to make it I am still trying to find somewhere where the ROI is as bad as everyone says. E85 is nothing more then moonshine with 15% gas added to make sure it is undrinkable (they should repel that so you can run straight moonshine) and it really doesn't take that much to make moonshine, as well you could make similar enough alcohol without heat (grain silos have alcohol on the bottom from mositure and heat induced by weight). Also, the left over product is high quality cow feed for the most part. But the loss does require a more economical difference which here it is only 5% at the most lower than the cost of regular gas.

Interesting and thanks for the update. I'm not sure E85 is the best choice, though the idea of getting that from sugar or another crop instead of corn could make sense. Brazil is doing well with that.

One other thing I forgot to mention and something me and my wife pondered.
We started referring to it as the GIN MOBILE as that is exactly what it started smelling like (especially after driving). Fortunately it is not strong enough to make you loopy though. However wife and I started to wonder if anyone has been pulled over while driving an E85 vehicle and given a breathlizer test because of the smell. :hehe:

Finding useful stuff about cars on the web is very difficult, this is because most of the times you just see marketing and promotional stuff and you are not able to get any information but this post will be really helpful I am sure.
