We will publish the list of mentors after the applications close. We want this to be about mentees and mentoring, not about the mentors. At least, that's this part of the experiment. we may change later.

Hi Steve (and others).
It's a fantastic idea to help those coming up in the ranks. I applaud your motivation and effort, and wish you the best in your mentoring efforts.
I think a lot of mentoring has to do with chemistry between the two people, and I'll be interested in how it works remotely versus interactively in person. I hope it doesn't just become an "ask me a question" type of resource, but can maintain it's goal of mentoring and guidance.
I always look forward to your emails, and typically glance over the rest and read the editorial.

Simon, we agree it's important to not confuse coaching (how-to & how do I) with mentoring. We're working on some definitions and examples because the lines between the two are often fuzzy.
