Hi @ all,
this is still not a problem, but yesterday i had a conversation with my oracle colleague.
We think about the best Block Size for SQL Database files and also about the defrag process on our Servers.
Please tell me why you look through this.
We think the best way is to set the Block Szie from the standart 8k to 64k and run in our offline times a defrag job on the drives that hold DB or Log files.

we always set it to the max available blocksize and let sql handle it internaly.

I usually set it to 64K, unless advised differently from hardware vendor.
