The 'Last' Lecture

  • I was watching Primetime last night featuring the Last lecture. I watched the 'last' lecture when it first came to Youtube. I also had read the book. Many people got motivated by his lecture. I think what made this different from other motivation speakers or motivation books was Randy never intended to be a motivation speaker. His intention was leaving a legacy for his children, something for them to remember him, instead his speech influenced million of people.

I may have a dead end job and have a lousy boss, my life may be at a low point at this time, I may be suffering from some illness. Should I pity myself?

I cried when I saw the last lecture the first time and many times, I cried when I read his book, I cried when I heard that Randy died. However I bet Randy died with a smile on his face !

May his family have peace !!! Everytime I saw his children on TV, I just start weeping. It is not fair that those children lost a father at such young age.

  • It's good you find some inspiration from Randy, but I wouldn't pity yourself. Move forward, look to make changes, and look to make life better where and when you can.

Take joy in the small things and smell the roses when you come upon them.
