Can't seem to be able to find anything regarding these
"The description for Event ID ( 17055 ) in Source ( MSSQLSERVER ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: 17052, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.818 ..."
messages that I get in my Event Log for any notification from MSSQLSERVER.
What is the cause of this? All the dlls seem to be there, registry seems to point to them correctly, what's the reason?
Any help is appreciated.

Resolved.
I was looking at application eventlog as a non-admin and since those message rll's are under MSSQL folder in the hierarchy, and MSSQL is only allowed for admins, therefore they were not accessible to event viewer. When looked at as admin everything shows up properly.
