    To find the percentage of savings you need to SELECT (1785 - 395) / 1785 * 100 or about 78% off.

    With implicit conversions, I believe this returns 0. Also, (1785 - 395) / 1785 = 1 - (395/ 1785), so other than dropping the decimal on 1785.0 that results in conversion from integer to numeric with decimal places, I'm missing any other differences.
