The Beginning of April

As usual, I spent the day telling people who were barefoot or in sandles, et al, that their shoes were untied. Told my dogs that too, of course. . . .

How many dogs do you have?

    Two.

  • Being close to the USA border helps understanding their culture. Learning English in a Mexico-based USA-cultured institute helps even more.

Got my points, but no practical jokes yesterday since here in Mexico they are played, like in Spain, on December 28th.

Thank you, Steve, for the question.

  • Why is this not 100% on the correct responses?

  • Why not satire? Points only to "Practical Joke" is not justified.

    Lost 7 points anyway.

Would have been even better if he didn't give any points for any answers. Then the question itself would be an April Fools joke! :w00t:

Now that would have been classic.

  • No one "lost" points. There isn't a total from which we remove them. You earn them, or you don't.

No one "lost" points. There isn't a total from which we remove them. You earn them, or you don't.

We all recognize the concept of "opportunity cost". Thus not getting the points does count as a "loss" to that extent.

Now, to violate my usual paradigm, I'm going to NOT write several dense paragraphs on the subject and will just leave it at that.

(D*** the verbosity! Full speed ahead!)

Why is this not 100% on the correct responses?

April's fool is mainly celebrated in USA and Canada (not sure if any other countries) by playing practical jokes on April 1st. Since this is an international community I assume incorrect responses are from members outside of these countries that don't know or know very little what it is about.
