Gold Digger, now your talking my kind of tipple, other than that Red Beard, Bank Top Blonde, Bad to the Bone, Sweeney's or Barley to Beer are by far a few of my best ales from the brewery IMO.

Two favourite ales of mine one found here
http://www.marstonsbeercompany.co.uk/our_brands/marstons/oldempire.asp
and the other here
http://www.innisandgunn.com/en/the-range/original.aspx
Not beers for drinking by the bucket full though - they pack a bit of a punch as well as tasting rather nice - served chilled not cold

Old Empire is a great favourite of mine, can remember a night at uni where 10 pints where consumed in the space of around 3-4 hours. They where the days where I could polish off that amount of alcohol in a night, lucky if I get anywhere near 3 pints of that stuff now.
I have seen the Innis & Gunn's in the shops but not tried it yet, think that will be on the list to try this week when we do the weekly shop.

Stuart - two great ales. Marston's Firestoker was a favourite a few years ago.

Take care on the Innes + Gunn - one 75 cl bottle is equivalent to half a bottle of wine - I normally tackle it when I know I'm not driving the next day!

My days for that sort of thing are well behind me too - mainly stopped that sot of thing when I got married - and beer went above Β£1 a pint. Both events seemed to coincide.

Hopefully it shall be.
Was in Leeds last night watching 65daysofstatic, so tomorrow will (hopefully) be a late awakening with flat pack furniture building for the babies room and beer.
