The Agent is suspect the process is idle since 500 minutes

    Hi,

    I am getting the following message in my subscribers ofenly, i have replication with sql server 2000 with one publisher and 4 subscribers , i will be getting this in one or two subscribers, please sugest what to be done.

    The Agent is suspect the process is idle since 500 minutes

    Hi,

    It depends on - is the latency of your subscribers higher when this message shows up? For me, I couldn't find the root cause but a simple agent restart solves the problem cause my latency remained relatively low (that is, few minutes). You can write a script which automagically restarts the agent based on the history data in the distribution database.
