First of all, thanks to those who have responded to my past questions. The site is great, and usually come away with very helpful info.
Now, new question. We have a sporadic problem with concurrent licenses. We have SQL Server 7 running on NT 4 (per server for 75). All or our user apps are VB 6. Occasionally, the Event Viewer will start logging..........
"The maximum simultaneous user accounts of 75 license for Standard Edition has been exceeded".
I ran profiler looking for anything out of the ordinary. I was looking for connects and disconnects thinking that there was an application that was not dropping its connection. But nothing ever stands out.
We usually end up rebooting. But I would really like to know what is going on.
Anyone have any other diagnostic ideas.
Thanks for your time.

Maybe there are more than 75 connections on the server.. or 75 'tasks' running.

We checked and never more that 50 or so spids at any given time.
