Testing in Production

Every time a new iOS is released, it seems to consume a lot of battery.

    ...

Bwahaa, that's apparently fixed now with their express recharge process (google iPhone 6 and Microwave if you don't know what I'm talking about there).

    I'm a DBA.
I'm not paid to solve problems. I'm paid to prevent them.

Interesting point about the battery, my iPhone 5 on IOS 8 is far, far better. A week ago the battery lasted until noon each day. Now it is back to pretty much all day.

I had a Windows phone once. Never again. I will also never use an HTC product again either. Ugh was that bad!

Yes, I know, things have changed...

It's a good thing that we have a microwave in the office. :hehe:

My 5c still can't hold up for more than a few hours off-charger even after the IOS 8 update. If it weren't the only way to get to my corporate e-mail and/or calendar (company issued device), I'd have turned it back in a long time ago.

Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency on my part...unless you're my manager...or a director and above...or a really loud-spoken end-user..All right - what was my emergency again?

Never had an HTC product but was your Windows phone the old Windows ce? I would never ever ever use that hideous OS but honestly windows 8 mobile is really solid.

Sadly, I don't want to try a Windows phone until the OS has enough apps available.

I wouldn't recommend it for that very reason. I have in fact been thinking about switching away from my Windows phone due to the lack of apps. Sad because the OS and the phone runs super smooth.
