You can terminate a job via Enterprise Manager - right click on job and select "Stop Job"

Sushila,
If i could have seen the Job in Enterprise Manager I would have deleted it.Its running via some scripts using some batch files.
And i wanna know how to stop the job?
Anyway Thanks for the Answer as i was really not knowing that....

Can't you just kill that process (assuming it's not vital to sql server)?

Set timeouts on components within the package.
As far as I know, there's no way to set timeout for the entire package.

what about the sysjobs system table...?!?! I should think that you may be able to directly disable/delete a specific job (without affecting the other jobs) using the job_id...?!?!

Try to edit your message using netscape... you'll see any markups and formatting there.
I guess that the next step is 10K .

I cannot "edit" my post at all...it's now "joined at the hip" with ziggy starlight's post..
I think the "next step" hasn't been implemented at all since steve must not have anticipated any one person who combines being an RG & an US all in one...think I shall go post something in "Anything but SQL.." on this...
