Terminate the job

    Hi All,

    An application Scheduler kicks off a job,which runs the RECWIN.exe executable on the server, and its scheduled to run for 1 hour and the job is still running 4 hours later,how do i proceed to terminate the job on server.

    As this is my first experience with this type of problems i dont know much about it.can anyone Please Help??

    Is it a SQL Scheduled JOb, or a Windows Scheduled task ?

    If it's a SQL job, you should be able to right-click, "Stop Job".  If it's a Windows task, you should be able to right click, "End Task"

    The recwin.exe - I am assuming that you have a software package from CheckFree Corporation called Recon for Windows - a reconciliation package and that executable sounds familiar.  You may want to check with their Customer Service for correct procedures.  It is part of their Financial and Compliance Software group, I think.....

    Just a thought!
