Technology for Fun

  • Tad William's Otherland series.

Arthur C Clarke was pretty good.

Jules Verne was probably the most prophetic.

  • Cliiford Stoll's "The Cuckoo's Egg" was a 1990 compuetr spy thriller. Very good read.

  • Isaac Asimov's robot stories, especially The Positronic Man (with Robert Silverberg). The book I, Robot is a collection of short stories

Also Arthur C Clark's Rama series and Songs of Distant Earth (though the latter's more sci-fi than tech fiction)

  • Any one out there read Robert Rankin, "Website Story"? His books are a good laugh. Also how about the computer called Hex, in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books?
