  Hello Experts

  I need to migrate a few DBS from one environment to another. I have replication, SSIS, SSRS, and other heavy-duty stuff. Needed your suggestion here.

  • Apply the TDE after the DBs are restored onto the new server or after creating the replication will that be helpful to set up the TDE? Do not want to see the replication working slowly if the TDE is setup earlier.
  • One of the tables I need to apply is the Cell level Encryption as well. Can this be set up anytime during the process or seeing the performance standpoint be better to set up later?
  • I noticed that to encrypt the DB via TDE, for a small DB, it takes around 5 -6 hours. Is there any concern if I perform other maint tasks during the time the TDE is implemented?
