Target Servers and upgrade to SQL Server 2005

    I am upgrading a SQL Server 2000 Master server to SQL Server 2005.  Should I remove the target servers and re-add them after the upgrade?  Or, can the upgrade succeed with the target servers in place?

    I do recall reading in one of the upgrade doco's (sorry can't recall which one at the moment) that specified that all target servers should be upgraded before the master. If you can't do that then you need to defect all the target servers and re-enlist them after the upgrade.
