  Is there anyway to tell when a tape, that I use to back up my server, is getting to full and needs to be written over. Also, lets say I do backups on this tape 3 days in a row and I want to get rid of the oldest backup on the tape, but not the rest. How would I accomplish this?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  First I don't know how you can tell if the tape is full until full. I will look some more when I get a chance.

  As for the older sets, I don't believe you can overwrite them without doing the same to the others.
