I gotta say I am pulling for the Rays... low payroll, not expected to contend with the two big boys... All of this after they lost some key free agents in the off season... Wow.

The Rays are going to pull it out because the Yankees are relaxing before the playoffs.

I had game six world series tickets and they lost before then...bummer. My son and I had never been to a World Series game.

I took my son to game 3 when the Rockies went. Exciting game, exciting time, worth it for the memories, even though they lost

He wanted to go to a playoff game and I said no lets go to a world series game and it will be much bigger...should've gotten one of the first four games but then again they lost all four games.

Never been to a World Series (or any postseason) game. (And I've been a Yankee fan since 1980.) It's always been (1) too expensive (not just the ticket, but also the cost to get down to NYC), (2) I've had some kind of conflict, or (3) they sell out before I have a chance to buy!

Sidetracking here, but just a message from the other side of the world again.
Practice didn't go too well today. U-16 coach (the vicious one) had to work late tonight, so I took over with just five players pitching up. And man, did they have an attitude. Run? What's that? Stop a ground ball? "Where the F is you mitt?", "Who cares?" These guys have been playing for three years or more, and freak, the season is only 3 weeks away for them. I was honestly shocked.
And then the guys/gals who assembled for practice for the second side decided it was too cold and just walked off and went to the clubhouse! Even before I managed to get off the U-16 field! Now how would you feel as a coach of that second side (which is ME?). Yeah, it's a social side, I know ...
