Too busy and not paying attention. Go Yanks and Rocks, but mostly heads down with work and volleyball. And Nuggets. Doing well this year, so I'll pick up the Rockies in a month or so.

Decent week for the Yanks, poor start for the Rockies. Being out of the country last week, I missed much of the news, so just catching up today

Yeah, Yankees scored two touchdowns, including a two-point conversion, yesterday.

What's concerning is that the roster looks like a M*A*S*H unit. They lead the majors in players on the DL IL.

Woot! Rockies won three in a row. Still in the cellar, but making progress.

This last column seems wrong, however:

So I was curious -- any of our friends on the other side of the Atlantic attending either of the London Series games? What's Britain's take on baseball in London? What's the atmosphere like?

Craziest steroid era stat:

Bonds 1: hit HR 500 and 600 in consecutive years

Bonds 2: April 2003- Sept. 2005, never went consecutive games without reaching base.

Sosa 1: hit 60 HR in ‘98, ‘99, ‘01 - and lost HR title each time.

Sosa 2: went from 30 HR/30 SB in ‘95 to 64/0 in ‘01.

Bonds was amazing. Impressed with him in Pitt, amazed in SF.

Early in his season with 73hrs, I was watching a game at work. Must have one of the first games in the opening series. He walked on 12 straight balls. Fourth time up, got 1 or 2 balls, then one drifted close to the plate and he took it out. The concentration after 2+ hours of not seeing a ball near him and then hitting one is incredible.
