Congrats to the Kansas City Royals!! A well deserved Championship.Sean, Take the kids to the parade. It's been 30 years since the last one. Enjoy the moment.
I stayed well clear of that insanity!!! We did watch the parade on tv and I know a lot of people who went down there. They all said it was too insane and if they had known they wouldn't have bothered.
I remember the last time the won it. I was a senior in high school. It was pretty awesome then but I think the team this time around is a much better group.

Griffey Jr. and Hoffman.
Sorry, until the writers get off their high horses and actually vote some players in linked to steroids, there are going to be some pretty lame HOF classes for the next 15 years or so.

I won't predict, but here's my opinion:
In:
Griffey
Hoffman

Out:

In Theo we trust! They're going all in. It will be a big disappointment if they don't win at least one World Series in the next couple of years now. I personally don't think they're done making moves yet this offseason either.

Gee, no comments about Pete Rose. Always liked him but never new the whole story. (selective hearing)
I guess he is actually kind of a jerk.
I do not agree he should be kept out. Maybe posthumously.
I remember when he left Cincinnati and all his restaurants closed for lack of business.

Gee, no comments about Pete Rose.
We've had this conversation before, with mixed opinions. Personally, I think he should be kept out. He's too much of an arrogant jerk, and the rules clearly state that if you bet on baseball, you're out for good. (See White Sox, 1919.)
On that note, I believe Shoeless Joe Jackson should be reinstated.

Sometimes, I think these sports writers have way too much time on their hands.
If MLB players were Star Wars characters...

Cricket Player Kieran Powell Takes a Swing at Baseball
I came across this article during my lunch break, and thought it was interesting. Can cricket skills translate to a baseball diamond?
I actually wondered about this myself. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.
